I was Just wondering if they've already broken ground, or if they are even starting to build yet. Does anyone know?

I live around the corner from the site and yes, they have broken ground. There's a large crane onsite that has driven in several large pilings and within the last week, a couple of smaller bulldozers have come onsite and have begun digging up earth. The smaller bulldozers have been digging up what appears to be concrete slabs/foundation from a structure that must have previously occupied the lot. Can't wait til Nov 2007!

It looks like it's coming along. They starting driving piles recently. It's further along than the Trump site at least, and it will be delivering before that one does, so that's a positive.

Im just saying that I look forward to moving in...whether it be 2006, 2007 or 2010 for that matter. Im perfectly happy where I live now. It is what it is and what's good for me may not be suitable for you. For me, two years flies by fairly quickly. Who knows what will happen between now and then. I could relocate to London, I could lose my job, we could be thrown into economic depression, I could become a multi-millionaire. Who knows? Still doesnt change the fact that I look forward to moving in. If you have a different outlook on life, the economy, the environment, whatever....that's fine with me...we're all entitled to think and feel as we chose.

Yes, construction is starting to start. It looks like the piles have been driven, and they will probably start starting on the construction in the late spring since it looks like the weather will drastically change from it being warm now, but probably extremely cold in February march and april (That's what the forecaster's say anyway).

I know that this is a little bit off topic, but does anyone know anything about the Reidences at Liberty National? Is it under construction? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I live at Port Liberte and drive by the site every day. Lots of heavy activity in the pit, but looks like so far mostly remediation work.

No foundations or piles yet.

The word on the clubhouse is late 2007 (more likely 2008).

Towers - I dunno when.

It will be very interesting to see if Fireman and Applied build these towers.

Quite a bit of earth has been dug up...perhaps 6-9 feet deep. There are heaps of dirt that they've displaced and piled on the opposite side of the light rail tracks. Those heaps are probably 5-6 feet tall.

Surrounding the construction site, one lane of Washington Blvd and one lane of Second Street have been closed off...looks like patrons of Chili's will temporarily have to find parking elsewhere.
