#19 re: safety -- start reading the Hoboken reporter. There's a lot of drug deals in/around the projects. The Guardian Angels have started a Hoboken branch, I saw them on Wash St last weekend.

Metal pans are spot welded to the beam structure creating a suspended substrate on which concrete is poured.Most likely you can still here the people upstairs with this set up. Most of the new constructuction, UG,OZ, ect have this type of system, sometimes the pans already have the concrete poured onto them and then a self leveling coupound is used to fill in the panel seams.

MP/Grove is true poured concrete constrution,8"slab with rebar that is superior in both structural and sound dampening qualities.
