How did you determine four months late? I think this is a bit of an exaggeration.

I was originally told I would have a Nov closing and that was only an estimate. I asked today and was told the closing would be in Dec. Of course there is no guarantee but I don't see how you figure four months late.

I also got a tour of the building. I must say the building is taking shape quite nicely.

I bought here and anticipate closing in early 07 since I am on a high floor. They are moving fast but not as fast as MP. The last new construction property I bought finished on time but waited 7 weeks for the CO. We all want to move in but IMO the project is too far out for anyone to peg closing dates with any relevant accuracy.

Well then they are not being consistent with the closing times because we are below you and they said January.

Does anyone have the names of the contractor, engineering firm and the architect?

My coworkers husband is a Structural PE that designs buildings in NYC and I told him about the delay. He said once the frame is up, on average it only takes 3 months to finish the interior of a building.

So see you all in 700 Grove in June.

Well, my cousins sister in law's aunt's daughter said it's at least 6 months out....

See you next year....

I did a walk through this past weekend (can be scheduled for weekends only) and they said the major delay is the windows have not yet to be delivered. Once they are and they can seal up the building, they can begin the interior bulk work. They did mention that they have continued some of the interior work, but they cant sheet rock until the windows are up. It sounded like the 2 month estimate on the delay is about right.

For those on this board who did buy, I highly recommend taking the tour. Its really going to be a nice building. The courtyard is much larger than I thought and the gym is about 2000 sq ft from what the guide said. Looking forward to meeting my new neighbors.
