Review - Observer Park Apartments are ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Management company does not help at all. Staff has HORRIBLE customer service skills. Recently there has been a problem with the WATER. (chlorine taste, dirty smell)NO RESPONSE from the Management Company after multiple phones calls. I think it is time for the BBB to step in. Maybe the Management company will respond then.
The one thing they are good at is INCREASING your rent when your lease is up. They are sure to keep on top of that. Pet friendly is awful when the elevators smell like wet dog all the time.
APPLIED COMPANY, please give me more than 1 week when both elevators work completely and the laundry facilities all work. I think it will be the day when pigs fly.
Best part about the Apt is proximity to the Path. If you don't commute to the city, rent elsewhere.

Review - The best thing about Observer is its proximity to the Path & Washington St. Apt is pet friendly (ie. hallways/elevators smell like dogs.)
Apt claims to be pre-wired for cable, but some of the cable outlets do not work, and you have to arrange your furniture so that your TV is near the cable outlets that work.
Coded security system is a joke. The apt complex is big enough with a lot of residents walking in and out all day - any body could follow a resident in.
Apt comes with A/Cs in each room & full service kitchen. The amenities work fine.
Laundry room is OK. Sometimes (mainly weekend afternoons) you have to wait for drier. For some reason, the apt has twice as many washers than driers, and one or two of the driers is always out of service.
For an apt of that size, I'm surprized there's no vending machine in the building.
Thermo-pane windows: Some of the windows don't stay open.
All in all, I'm satisfied with the apt. My commute into the City is great, bdrm & living rm are pretty big, rent is affordable, and amenities work.
However, I'm not too happy with the management company (Applied Companies). Some of the workers there have horrible attitudes. And don't count on things getting fix. The apt is well kept enough that things don't break too often, but when they do, don't count on Applied doing a good job fixing them.
