Review - I have used the Hoboken Gourmet Company for about 7 years when catering company events for 30 - 30 people.
The food is always fresh, very homemade, and (most importantly) tastes great. Yes there are those who don't care for a certain spice etc., but Karen always asks what was liked, and if WE wanted to have anything changed! (Not the soup natzi approach!)
Yes the store is small, but it is personal and friendly. Call ahead if you are in a rush - or slow down - or get a hot dog on the street, but reasonable expectations are always the least disapointing.
If you havent been here, try it yourself and add you opinion!

Review - Love it here! Other reviews say slow service, but it really is a great casual place to slow down and enjoy your food. For breakfast most plates are served with plenty of very fresh and in season fruit. French toast with banana butter doesn't even need syrup, omlets cooked to perfection, chocolate chip pancakes are great. We always take our out of town visitors here.

Review - cute little place with great food. had the banana pancakes which were really really good, came with fresh fruit which was also great. there was a pretty big menu selection. service was decent (not slow like other reviews say). i will definitely go back.

Review - perfect lunchtime spot. ok service, but worth going for the delicious food and vast menu. great selection of sandwiches. definitely one of my top choices for a lunch date in Hoboken!

Review - They advertise a tiny cup of fresh squeezed orange juice on their menu for $2.50, but, in fact, they sell concentrated OJ. We ordered two cups and after a sip, we immediately told them the juice was not freshly squeezed. They took both cups back and still charged us.
The food was not good either. The pancakes came from a mix and the veggie burger was cold.
