Review - By far the best sushi in Hoboken. Matches up well with better Manhattan sushi destinations, such as Blue Ribbon, etc.

Lady in Red is their best roll ... a must try. The atmosphere is fun and festive, and the service is great. The owner/chef is a wonderfully friendly host who always gives he VIP treatment.

BYOB, so stop at a liquor store along the way for some wine. There is a decent small one around the corner on Newark and Park.

Review - Sushi House is by far the best sushi I have ever had. I order from there at least once a week and am never dissapointed. Try the mammamia roll- spicy tuna and tempura flakes topped with avocado, or the madame butterfly roll- eel and avocado topped with shrimp tempura...they are both amazing!

Review - I definitely think Sushi House has the best sushi and Japanese food in Hoboken. Their food is always fresh and the service is usually great. Even their miso soup is better than your average sushi place. I especially like the chicken teryaki. I was in there once and the owner came over to talk and learned it was my birthday. A few minutes later they came out with ice cream and sang. It was completely unexpected but a nice addition to the meal.

Review - I have eaten at Sushi House several times, and each time it was great. I usually start with the cooked food then I hit the Sushi. BYOB is a plus, and I would never rate any restaurant on take out, or on their Sat night (too busy for any restaurant to deliver their best). The scene is a very hip, and young Hoboken crowd at night.

Review - Great sushi. Hendra (owner) built the menu . His sushi is the best in Hoboken. He always has freshest variety (try getting Fatty Tuna at any other sushi den). BYOB - so grab a bottle a sake or vodka. They are happy to accomodate.

Review - This is The Best I’ve ever eaten. The best regarding freshness, excellent presentation, very large sashimi pieces, excellent service. I work in Manhattan and eat at many Sushi bars/restaurants…so I am not a novice. The spices used in the salad dressing are just so unique. The owner wanders the establishment to meet and chat. They work very hard to create food art…you will ENJOY the Sushi House in Hoboken…Dave D.

Review - Sushi House has the best jap. food in Hoboken!! My favorite roll is the Tsunami roll/$12.95. It has ivory king salmon in it-yum! The decor is funky and unique. Hendra, the owner, introduced himself to my boyfriend and me our first time dining at the sushi house. He is very kind, he even gave us a free app! The service was ok, however we did not care for our server . She was rude and had too much of an attidude! She barely took care of us. Another server, who was very friendly, keept refilling our water, and checking up on us. Overall, sushi house is great!!

Review - We just ate at sushi house of hoboken. The sushi was out of this world. The Madame Butterfly roll was the best I've ever had. The owner Hendra came up to our table and treated us like family. The decor was funky and upbeat! The place packed and had great vibe. The service was good for a restaurant that just opened a week ago. The service can be improved and i am sure it will be better after the grand opening. We will be back because of the sushi and friendly atmosphere.

Review - Their rolls are very good, but their delivery service leaves a lot to be desired. Almost every time I've ordered from them in the past two months, they have forgotten to include either one or two of the food items, chopsticks, or soy sauce, etc. Even though their prices and food are pretty good, I doubt I'll continue to order from them. I'm surprised I've given them as many chances as I have. If you order from them, be sure to check everything in the bag before you pay the delivery guy. The person who packages the orders is obviously not looking at the receipt to make sure that everything is in there.

Review - Went to Sushi House for the first time because a friend recommended it. The food was pretty good and I liked the decor but the service was not so great. I don't really remember our server's name, ******* or ******, was very annoying. She kept talking to us during our meal and it was really hard to eat. She was extremely loud. Although the sushi was pretty good, I think I'm going to stick with Robongi.

Review - just ate at sushi house of hoboken. I think for a restaurant that just opened one week ago it was a very good night out. I know how crazy it is when you eat in a new restaurant. The owner touched every table in the restaurant. The service was good and you could say they need some more practice but the owner Hendra informed us his grand opening is still two weeks away. The sushi is what counts and it was great! The sushi is what will bring us back. The decor is better than any other establishment i have eaten in. The theme and music is great! I will be back and i think others may judge a new restaurant a little to hard in this case.

Review - Wow! I live one block away and eat there almost everyday. It is that good. I went to Sushi Lounge for the first time and it is like a White Castle compared to Sushi House. Try the Lady in Red roll - tuna, crab, red tobiko. It is out of this world. The fish is fresh and the service is great.

Review - Sushi House is the best thing to happen to Hoboken as far as Japanese food goes. The quality of fish is unbeatable and the service is great. I enjoy eating there at least once a week, either dining in or delivery. I highly reccomend it to everyone!

Review - I've had two bad service experiences at this place. First, we waited too long before our waitress too long, and she served the food to the table next to us - who came in after we came in!

When I pointed this out to her, she was rude. No apology or anything. I guess that's the type of people who run the place. Rude and uncaring in the customer service department.

However, Hendra is a great Sushi chef. I've gotten delivery at Sushi House since that incident and won't step foot into the restaurant again. Hendrea really should talk to his waitstaff about their rudeness.

Review - I live just around the corner, i was there the day it opened. I order probably 5-6 times per month. I've never eaten IN the restaurant, but I've been in there many times to pick up. I have to say, I thought by now the service would have improved, but it's still pretty bad. They have messed up my order many times, forgot wasabi and soy sauce many times, forgotten soup or salad many times. One time they took 3 hours to show up. Hendra threw in a free app. which was excellent. One time they forgot to give me back my credit card. One time I compained about no soy sauce, and the week after, I ordered and I got (not even joking) 20 containers of soy and wasabi. Walking home I was like wow this bag is heavy maybe they hooked me up. When I opened it scared me a little.
Anyway, I've been eatign sushi for 20 years, and there is no question this is the best sushi in Hoboken. It rivals most Manhattan sushi places. The price is is line with the quality. I've had most things on the menu. Lately I've been ordering the Red Dragon and Rainbow rolls. It's a 26 dollar meal after tip and stuff, but its excellent. the Red Dragon roll is eel on the out side with red tobiko sprinkled on, which is fantastic. I actually just ordered and they got it right, and it only took 10 minutes. Anyway, I like ordering meals like Sushi House, which is there version of sushi regular. the thing is at sushi house, the sushi comes with the manhattan roll which is like a fried salmon skin roll. I'm not crazy about it, its pretty strong. You cant substitute it with a calif. roll or spicy tuna. The bottom line is the place isn't perfect, but the food is what matters, and its very, very good.

its just a big mess, but when you get the food you ordered, its wonderful. theres not many good sushi places in hoboken. i'd have to say this is the best in hoboken. ive been eating sushi for 20 years. the prices are a little high, but you do

Review - This review is for delivery, so I am not sure of the decor.

First, the service was adequate at best. I was put on hold at least 7 times before my order was fully taken. I am not certain if they were short-staffed, but the telephone call bordered on rudeness. The only reason that I stayed on the phone was because I heard that the food was good.

The delivery (we live only several blocks away) left a lot to be desired as well. It took nearly an hour to deliver two House B orders on a Weds night. I could understand on a Thurs/Fri/Sat, but not on Weds.

The food (surprisingly?) was adequate at best. I have had much better in the area. I realize that it's better at the restaurant, but I've ordered out take out from other places and received quality food. This was not. The fish did not seem as fresh as I am used to and the quality was certainly not as good. This combined with the price, which is a little higher than other places, makes it not a good value in my mind.

I may have ordered on a bad night, but I am not going back for seconds.
