Review - Amazing food! My husband thinks this is the best restaurant in Hoboken! We had the mojitos which were a minty fresh slam of goodness and the Medoc wine which was full bodied and delicious. The ambience is very low-key with imported bibelots throughout the restaurant. The bean soup was multi-layered and splendid, the ham and asiago mini-pizza divine and the leg of pork with plantains incredible. Yes, it's an $80.00 p.p. evening, but suck it up and enjoy - life is short and good food is worth it!

Review - Fabulous decor. Unique and zaftig menu. Subtle and delightful wine selection - wine very reasonably priced. All in all a very pleasent dining experience. Would highly recommend. IT's well worth the extra $10-$20 per person you might spend for the full experence.

Review - The food ranks among the best places in Hoboken, and compares favorably with the upscale restaurants in Manhattan. The atmosphere is very appealing, lively, and distinctive. The crowd I've found tends to be older (as in 40s), but that kind of gives it its uniqueness (for Hoboken that is). In all, I would rate this as one of my top 3 places in Hoboken.

Review - The food was awesome! The place smelled of yummy food as soon as we walked in. All the dishes looked delicious. We ordered 2 appetizers, short ribs and whole snapper cooked in the wood burning oven. I will definitely return -it's some of the best tasting dishes I've had in a while!
The waiter was very attentive - the bartender could have been a bit more.

Review - This is the best spanish/south american restaurant in hoboken and even better than most south american restaurants in manhattan. 3 people shared 6 appetizers and 1 dessert and it was perfect even though the appetizers are not that large. We saw the entrees, they were huge! the cocktails were very good too and the atmosphere was very nice and cozy. service was a little bit slow but not awful.

Review - Fabulous!! Our new favorite. Cucharamama is unique, flavorful food served in a warm and beautiful atmosphere. So many of the new Hoboken restaurants are charging Manhattan prices for terrible food. Cucharamama is no bargain, but it is absolutely worth the money.

Review - We loved this restaurant... Good Food, excellent decor and great ambience. This restauarant serves food that is tasty as well as creative in presentation. We loved the croquettas in particular. It also has a modest selection of main dishes and a good selection of drinks and desserts.

We were very pleased with our experience and will definitely return again to try the other dishes we couldn't get to in our first visit!

Review - Went for the first time with a party of four and were able to try many tapas on the menu. The food was excellent and the mojito's were amazing...service was a little slow though I am hoping it was due to being a new restaurant...

Review - Just went on Saturday night. The food was excellent, and very fairly priced compared to NYC (not to Hoboken b/c everything there is cheaper). My husband and I eat at alot of top restaurants in NYC and this one definitely compares well! Great to have this level of quality in Hoboken!

Review - Went on a Saturday night and it was super crowded so we sat along the brick oven. Service was a bit slow...it looked like there was one waiter for the whole restaurant. The chefs by the oven were extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered a bunch of small dishes and they were all excellent! The calamari, the shrimp and the pizza with bacon and eggs were fabulous! We each had drinks and walked out full...it was about $35 each, which is not bad.

Review - Good food and drinks, but way too pricey. The decor was excellent, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was very good as well. Just felt it was too expensive for what you get compared to other restaurants in Hoboken and NYC.

Review - My first time at Cucharamama w/ my husband who has dinned at Zafras. We LOVED it. It was highly recommended to us. We fine dine often, usually in NY, this restaurant is going to be a regular from now on. We went last Friday and going back this coming Friday. Ambiance is marvelous, Food is delicious, and the service is warm. Can not ask for more. Beautiful combination.

Review - My husband and I love the food and service, which is always consistent. However, I am reluctant to go there again because of the garbage. The restaurant needs to do something about the garbage it puts outside. The garbage is never properly bagged, smells terrible and looks disgusting. Cucharamama should be more courteous to its neighbors and clean up that mess! Please clean up!

Review - Made a reservation for 10 people for a Saturday and they did not honor the reservation after we all (10) traveled for more than 1 hour. Very disapointed group celebrating a going away party for 2 group members, we have been eating as a group of 10 for 5 years. This was first time we were skunked. Suggest that people who run a business honor their commitments.

Review - One of the best places in Hoboken, if not the best. I had taken a loved one here for a special evening and ended up having to sit at the bar as this place was so packed. The bar was wonderful as well as the bar service. We had a wonderful time and we will be back ASAP. Make sure to try the tamales,.. yet EVERYTHING was divine.

Review - Food was good but very overpriced. I am not sure how 2 people can have dinner and a couple cocktails and walk out spending less than $100. We spent $150. Service was fine but at the end the of the night they opened the front door allowing the cold air to blast into the restaurant. Guess that was a hint they wanted to close for the night.

Review - Best place in hoboken. We went with two friends last friday, and it was so crowded we sat at the wood-burning oven. The chef that works there was amazing, just to see her (YES!!! HER) work and desing the dishes in front of us made our night a different and fantastic experience... we are looking foward to go back soon....
One Tip ... never go without a reservation, and ask to be sit at the wood-burning oven... you won't regreat it
