Review - Gold Coast has friendly members and staff with sufficient space for numerous machines. Due to work relocations this is my eighth gym. This club is not fancy, located below ground level, but caters to basic work-out needs. Free towel service and coffee help. The primary weakness during my membership has been maintenance. Lengthy periods of time to fix equipment or plumbing (showers, water fountain). Overall, however, I would recommend to others as a good value for the money and convenient for parking and PATH.

Review - I checked out a lot of gyms in JC before joining Gold Coast. Great place, great people, great price! Everyone I've met is welcoming, open and friendly. The facility isn't huge, but they have plenty of space for free weights, machines and programs. The locker rooms are clean. The price is pretty good, considering that other places nearby charge the same and don't offer any programs at all.
My only complaint...the place does smell a little sweaty when you walk in. I guess it IS a gym after all! Nothing a little ventilation or air freshener couldn't solve though.

Review - I have recently moved into the area from Astoria, and while that area has its share of gyms, some at a lower price than Gold Coast, nothing compares to the service I have received since joining. I got a call back after my 5 day trial and the woman was courteous and asked me how it went, and what did I like and dislike. Well, I joined before my trial was over. I will admit, I tried the place across the street and I was treated as if I didn't belong,
the staff was rude and the space is small, and I love to lift weights and they have extremely limited equipment. I have worked out at almost every popular gym in Manhattan and Queens and none of them give me that feeling like I am going to get a great lifting session, but at Gold Coast I do....every single morning. Plus, I love the fact that there is always a fresh pot of coffee on the counter and fresh towels, two things I find essential to my workouts.
So keep up the great work, this gym is worth every penny paid by this member.

Review - And yes you stand behind your slogan the friendliest gym in town Cause you are by far. From meeting your memebers whether on the treadmill or on the mahines I know I made the right decision when I crossed the street from the other gym across the way. Your staff is extremely helpful and well trained, it makes me get up early and with ambition to workout. Thanks for creating a happy and healthy atmosphere. Keep up the good work I know I will now that I have joined this fine establishment.
