Review - Great location. Fun decor. If you're a smoker, this is the place. If you're not, wait for a table outside. Food is inexpensive but I've only found two items worth the trip... the steak sandwich and the Cuban sandwich. Discouraged when I ordered a Cuban coffee at their window -- employee had no clue what I was talking about. When I described the potent concoction I enjoyed so many times while living in Miami, I had to settle for an espresso and a three packs of sugar.

Review - One of my favorite places to go. Good service, and good Cuban food. The only thing I don't like is their chicken salad. Everything else is pretty tasty. Cheap breakfast that is yummy and good portions. The rice and beans are not bad. The red beans need a bit more seasoning though, but still good.

Review - Excellent food, great atmosphere, but be ready to wait. Service is kind of slow on Sunday morning. Try their seafood dishes, especially shrimps!

Review - We waited 40 minutes after placing our order. The waitress forgot to submit our order. I had to get up and go ask her where our food was, and she didn't even apologize. I asked her if we would still be charged and she said no. My friend couldn't wait and had to leave, so I waited another 15 minutes for the food to go. She brought it along with a bill for the orange juice and milkshake we drank while starving for an hour. Again, she did not apologize but she insisted that she was right and should pay the bill. And it was on the same day as the article about their roach problem. I do not recommend them for their crappy service and mediocre food. The only thing I've ever enjoyed there are the mojitos.

Review - I really hate to complain, but I was there last night only because my wife likes the easiness of the location. The service was just horrible -- the waitresses are busy talking with each other, on their cell phones or greeting friends in cars...unbelievable...our waitress just dumped our food off and ran off...we had to track someone down to pay the bill

Review - Just moved to JC. Ordered a take away of picidillo the other night. Poorly packaged for take away. By the time I got home the food had partially spilled out of its container. The food itself was mediocre at best. The rice was watery. I miss La Caridad and La Taza de Oro in NYC. Hard Grove is a poor substitute. Next time around, I will try the dominican place a block away.

Review - great black bean soup, get it with fewer onions than they will bring. Sandwich was ordinary, blooming onion was lousy. Undercooked, like eating a breaded raw onion. But the soup was good enough that i get it as takeout on a could day.

Review - Hi:
I am cuban, I am sorry, but to me, this is not Cuban food. If you want to try Cuban food, go to Union city, or Elizabeth, NJ.
