Review - This is a great place if you're in the mood for something out of the ordinary. The authentic creole dishes, like jambalaya, are awesome. Their catfish is the best I've had. The burgers and tastey appetizers are great too! I frequent the bar for happy hour as well. They have good specials, fun bartenders, and my personal favorite--karaoke night on Tuesdays!

Review - For a bar this place is great. The decor is awesome, none like this in Jersey City. The music is good, not too loud so that you can still maintain a conversation without screaming. Been going there for three years to see my favorite bartenders!!

Review - For a casual bite, especially at the outside tables in nice weather, this place is great. Terrific burgers and a nice selections of interesting beers.

Review - I like Cajun food a lot. The food here is OK... not very spicy and not terribly authentic. I can sum up the negatives to this place as follows: the entire place reeks of smoke, since there is no non-smoking section; the service is terrible and you routinely have to wave down or go get your server; and during the wintertime it is cold and drafty and so dim it's like being in a bar, not a restaurant. So - good place to have a smoke and drink if you are a smoker, but otherwise don't bother.

Review - The decor here is funky and original. Surpisingly big for Jersey City. Money well spent!! Food is excellent and the service is on target!!!

Review - This place is LOUD!!! Forget about having a conversation over dinner, it's just not possible when this place is full. Food is ok. Gumbo is the best dish in my opinion. Otherwise, stay with standard bar-fare ... burgers and fried foods.

Review - I used to go there pretty frequently because I really like(d) the place but what weirded me out was when I showed up on Mardi Gras to have a quick drink but was told that I had to pay a cover charge. The fact that I was a regular there didn't matter. It's now June 21 and I haven't been back since. Other than that, the food/atmosphere is pretty good.
