Review - Wow - I am surprise to hear this things! I have been in the building since june 04 when it first opened - I have had no problems whatsoever - Everyone I know who lives there LOVES the building - To those who think the area is crappy think again in 2 years when prices are unobtainable - A new 35 story hotel and new path station all within 1 minute of the building can only make it better - In my opinion 140 bay is a horrible building So many delays, no parking, crazy prices and HORRIBLE floorplans - The reason why Morgan had elevator problems in the begining is becuase stupid real estate agents were leaving the doors open and hold the elevators from moving. One agent actually got stuck after holding the doors waiting for their client!

Review - I looked at one of the units - the workmanship in the unit I saw was very shotty. The tiles were not lined up with the edge of the dry wall in the bathroom shower (they came out of the shower and overhung the edge). Also, the doors were very lightweight - felt somewhat cheap. I was not impressed overall. However, I'm comparing to Bay St and Sugarhouse at this point.

Review - There's already talk that this parking lot will be used by a developer to put up another condominium. Who the developer is, or when the work will start is still unknown. But this is clearly within the development zone as designated by Jersey City. So I'm pretty sure development is not off limits in this parking lot.
There are some very overpriced units. They're charging close to 500K for a 2 bedroom and are not even providing a washer/dryer!!! and on top of that, I hear there's no parking for any unit!

Review - does any one know what the plans are for the parking garage between the morgan lighthouse and the bay street lofts? I presume that is a big factor in making a decision to buy.

Review - to the people who are saying construction is of high quality..what is the developer paying you to say this? When I went to this building to look at potential units, the elevator wouldn't work..it kept emitting an annoying beeping sound. We had to wait for 10 minutes for it to start working again.
Additionally, the walls are paper thin, and the paint was peeling off in one of the penthouses.
Good quality..ya right

Review - Quality is high and developer is a good. No problems with units... I get lots of compliments on my place. Neighborhood is quiet and the epitome of up and coming. With new PATH and development around Grove Street, this is certainly a wise investement looking 3- 5 years down the road. Just take a drive around the area and you can see construction & development everywhere.

Review - This building has taken a long time to sell the final units. This makes me think it's over priced. Plus as another person wrote the area is crappy.
Great location: if you work at BJ's.

Review - Morgan is way better than liberty point. You really need to compare the inside construction quality. Morgan is good. No problems at all.

Review - check www.jerseycityhomes.com for availability - the area is going to be nicer in couple years; the price is already high for jersey city

Review - Too expensive & bad location. Buy in Paulus Hook... Liberty Pt's a better building anyhow.

Review - Most of these units do not have their own washer/dryers. You have to use a common area on each floor. Not very nice if, like me, you do your washing in your underwear!!

Review - I think that they should keep the price the way it is. Of course simple supply and demand rules and people will pay that price because otherswise you have to buy old condos in old buildings, which are UGHGLY!!!

Review - Agreed. Because of the location the prices need to come down about 20%. Of course, this time next year it will hopefully be worth the current price, plus going forward the area is going to become more desirable.

Review - I didn't realize they were already taking offers. 460/sf is definitely not cheap, but I imagine the 140 Bay will be fairly expensive as well. Builders probably know we're headed for a downturn in the market eventually, so they're taking whatever they can out of it now.

Review - We are thinking of buying a one bedroom there. The price per sqaure foot was about 350 and now is about 460! The builder will not budge in the price. The apartments are very nice and well laid out, and the area seems ok, there is a new PATH train station and a hotel being built directly behind the building. Parking is $35k right now, he will not budge on that either. Not sure whether property can increase in value over next 3-5 years for this area at $460 sq/ft. There is new construction across street at 140 bay street and they will also open retail space there...seems like a decent investment if the builder came down about 20-30%.

Review - Thats what I'd like to know. The location seems decent, not perfect but definitely up and coming. I'm interested in knowing if anyone has purchased and what their experience has been.
