Review - Will this building be right across Columbus Towers (to be built also)? If so, it means almost 2000 new units will be available (combined rental, condo). Interesting news.

Review - Im sorry - i am so tired of every building needed to be sold to artistst or qualified people for a cheaper rate - If some of us are willing to buy and have the resources then so be it!

Review - The developer is looking for signifigant variances from Powerhouse Arts redevelopment plan

The only purpose for the variances is so that the building constructor can fit more/larger units into the area and make more money.
There is no benefit to a current area resident to allow these variances. We should not allow this group to pocket more cash with the result being a detriment to the neighborhood.
Make the area a park!

Review - Thought you may like to know that Mayor Jerramiah Healy and city officials celebrated the start of construction on Grove Pointe today, May 5, 2005. The luxury apartment and condominium complex from Schenkman/Kushner Affiliates, is located on Newark Avenue between Grove Street and Luis Muñoz Marin Boulevard. The 29-story building will consist of 525 luxury residential units, 67 condominiums and 458 rental apartments.
Grove Pointe will offer discerning residents the features they desire, including an on-site swimming pool and world-class health club, along with the convenience of 535 spaces of on-site parking and a renovated PATH station allowing quick travel to midtown and downtown Manhattan. On the ground floor, the building will offer 20,000 square feet of retail space, complementing the existing retail of the historic downtown area.
