Review - We had never tried Peruvian food before, and at the urging of Peruvian friends we visited Mucho y Rico on Saturday afternoon. After we admitted that we had never eaten Peruvian food before, our waiter suggested that we start with the beef soup with vegetables and rice, which was served in large bowls and was very tasty. Our entrees, shrimp in garlic sauce and filet of fish in garlic sauce arrived with white rice, and we enjoyed both meals very much. We noticed that other diners seated near us seemd to really enjoy their meals too. Good luck to Mucho y Rico, a new dining establishment on Park Avenue in Weehawken.

Review - I was just there last night. Normally when I eat Peruvian I do it in Manhattan in a real restaurant, so this restaurant was a change.
First of all Mucho Rico is not a restaurant, it is a fonda; aka food joint. They do serve a lot of food! even for the big eater I think their portions would be big.
But the taste was kind of dissapointing. I had the caldo de choros and camarones al ajillo. Of course, since the joint is run by Peruvians I was expecting the real thing! Not at all, I could taste the use of knorr and Maggie, heavy MSG and all that stuff in both of my dishes; I also tasted my boyfriend's entree and felt the same particular taste of MSG and all...not so nice...
But he had the ceviche and it was good, not exceptional but quite decent.
For the money we paid it was OK.The thing is that when I want Peruvian, I want the real thing; so I wouldn't come back to Mucho Rico.

Review - Mucho y Rico is a really good peruvian restaurant. They have both good food and great service. It is great quality food. You feel like your in a restaurant in Peru with the music and decorations surrounding you. They serve a great amount of food and its delicious. There are many plates to choose from. There is seafood, all types of meat, and various type of soups.Mucho y Rico also has desserts. There something different then other cultures desserts. They have something different everyday for the menu to taste various plates.I hope Mucho y Rico keeps having great quality food and hope they keep being sucessful.

Review - So far, Mucho y Rico has been the best restaurant that I have visited. Their food is very taste, fresh and healthy. Even their desserts are really good: arroz con leche, mazamorra, crema volteada, flan, y alfajores. One of the things that really caught my attention is that the prices for different plates are not really expensive compared to other Peruvian restaurants. They served a lot and the food is great; just like the name of the restaurant Mucho y Rico. Good luck to Mucho y Rico.
